FORMER "KASERNE KRAMPNITZ" // COMPETITION - 15.04.2015

The new entrance area of the former barracks Krampnitz is part of the cultural and natural space Potsdam. This great quality is transmitted to the further development: the Potsdam typical and magnificent combination of architecture and landscape handed down. The long-shaped former barracks are the backdrop for a new typology of building groups and ensembles. This "Potsdamer building type" not only a new image of diversity and variety is taken in the quarter, the buildings are equally as solitary space making. By building up the groups, a new space stratification and permeability between the buildings is present.
