DOCKLANDHAUS MÜNSTER // 2nd Prize - 11.11.2021
A PIONEER, ROBUST YET DELICATE
The Docklandhaus is one of the first buildings in the Port of Münster development and shapes the area with confidence. Its appearance in the diffuse urban space is powerful, a pioneer formulated in a robust architectural language that looks towards the future while also evoking memories of old warehouse buildings and dry docks. The shape of the building and its roof create an atmospheric signal that extends to both banks. The new office building and restaurant, located on the harbour promenade, sets the ball rolling for the future development of the property along the Dortmund-Ems Canal.
In collaboration with Dury et Hambsch Architektur O&O Baukunst Cologne won 2nd prize.
