SCHWEDLER - CARRÉ FRANKFURT AM MAIN 2018 — A residential and working district has been created on the site of the former freight yard in Frankfurt, the Schwedler Carré. O&O Baukunst has realised a 102-metre-long residential building along the train tracks, its brick façade creating a burnt sienna horizon. The form and function of the hybrid figure react to the location’s specificity. The residents of the four apartment buildings, with a total of 94 residential units, are enthroned above a base that acts as a shield from the tracks and contains indoor parking levels.
