Saxon State and University Library S.L.U.B. Dresden SAXON STATE AND UNIVERSITY LIBRARY S.L.U.B DRESDEN 2002 — The Saxon federal, regional, and university libraries merged to become a library of European significance. The library itself consists of two stone blocks of the same size placed opposite one another on a lawn. Between them, a glass surface is set flush with the lawn, the skylight of the central reading room. This reading room is at the heart of the three-storey library base, which extends beneath the lawn across the entire area of the former sports field.
