UFERHALLEN BERLIN – The heritage-protected Uferhallen grounds in Berlin Wedding has grown in layers over time. It is now being carefully developed in three parts: the historic cubature of a multi-storey stables is being restored, a building by Jean Krämer is being extended by a two-storey addition, and the gap on Uferstraße is being filled in. The planned buildings will implement a timber construction clad with large ceramic panels. The fired ceramics retain the rough clay texture and, its own building era layer, remains in the background of the brick ensemble.
