FEDERAL MINISTRY FOR ECONOMIC COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT // 4th Prize - 19.05.2025

The new building of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development complements the ensemble of the Deutschlandhaus and Europahaus with the addition of two freestanding buildings. The new buildings have a pavilion-like appearance and large apertures that open to the urban space. Their ecological sustainability is visible in the timber construction, green façades, solar panels, and passive sun shading.

O&O Baukunst, together with Rainer Schmidt Landschaftsarchitekten, took 4th prize in the competition for the new BMZ building.
