Invitation to the presentation of Hans von Trotha’s new book and discussion on Thursday, 27 February 2025, 7 p.m.

We cordially invite you to an evening with historian and garden expert Hans von Trotha, who will speak with Markus Penell (O&O Baukunst) and Diethelm Kaiser (copy editor and author) about the ecological and social significance of gardens. Together, they will explore the challenges faced by garden culture today due to climate change.

Author Hans von Trotha’s latest book takes us on a journey through the history of gardening, revealing how gardens have been carriers of not only aesthetic but also philosophical and social messages over the centuries. Von Trotha describes the garden as a unique medium that appeals to all the senses, building a bridge between nature and art.


The event will be held in the new O&O Depot space at Leibnizstraße 60 / entrance on Mommsenstraße.
