GREEN LIGHT FOR URBANE MITTE SÜD // Approval of the Development Plan - 26.02.2026

One of Berlin’s key urban development projects, Urbane Mitte am Gleisdreieck, has cleared an important hurdle. Seven trapezoidal buildings are planned along the S-Bahn line.

The Berlin House of Representatives has approved the development plan for the two high-rise buildings on the southern part of the site. Following an agreement between the Senate and the investor, the plans provide for a mixed-use programme including a hotel and commercial space, student housing, temporary housing, and a broad range of sports, leisure, and cultural facilities.
